Валовой Дмитрий Васильевич – участник Великой Отечественной войны, кавалер четырех орденов и пятнадцати медалей; доктор экономических наук, профессор, заслуженный деятель науки РФ, лауреат премии Правительства Российской Федерации в области образования.
Семь лет служил в Советской армии. Работал начальником планового отдела и заместителем управляющего союзного треста «Азнефтеэлектромонтаж». Четырнадцать лет был первым заместителем еженедельника ЦК КПСС «Экономическая газета», а в 1976–1992 годах – заместителем и первым заместителем главного редактора «Правды» и членом Комитета народного контроля СССР. С 1990 по 1995 был советником президента Казахстана.
Одновременно занимался научно-педагогической деятельностью. Опубликовал десятки книг, брошюр и более трех сотен статей по социально-экономическим проблемам общим объемом 815 печатных листов, многие работы переведены за рубежом. 28 работ представлены в библиотеке Конгресса США. Побывал в фирмах и корпорациях Европы, США, Японии, Китая; встречался со многими главами государств и правительств, известными зарубежными учеными. Участвовал в работе съездов КПСС с двадцатого (1956) по двадцать восьмой (1990); в заседаниях Совета министров СССР (1962–1992); в заседаниях Глав государств и правительств Содружества Независимых Государств (1992–1995).
В настоящее время профессор Академии труда и социальных отношений.
Valovoi Dmitriy Vasiliyevich – the participant of the Second World War, the knight of four orders and fifteen medals; the doctor of economics science, the professor, honored worker of science of The Russian Federation, the laureate of the premium of the government of The Russian Federation in the sphere of the education.
He served in the Soviet army for seven years, worked as a head of the planning department, the deputy manager of the union trust «Azneftelektromantazh». Dmitiy Vasiliyevich was the first deputy head of the daily CK CPSU «the Economic newspaper», and in 1976-1992 he was the deputy and the first deputy of the main editor of «the Pravda» and the committee of national control of the USSR. At the same time he practiced scientific and pedagogical activities. He published hundreds of books, brochures and more than three hundred articles on social-economic problems with general volume of 750 printed pages, many of them were translated abroad. 27 of the works are represented in the library of the congress of the USA. Dmitiy Vasiliyevich used to visit firms and corporations of Europe, the USA, Japan, China, met many heads of the states, famous foreign scientists, took part in the work of the congress of SPSU from the twentieth (1956) till the twenty-eighth (1990) in the seating of the council of ministers of the USSR (1962-1992) in the seating of the heads of the states and governments of CIS (1992-1995).
Nowadays he is the head of the department of economic theory of the Academy of labor and social relationship.
